Perfect little campsite ably run by Natalie and Christophe. Lovely setting in amongst the shady pines which was perfect for us being in a tent. Private grounds in the national park and a short but let’s not pretend, steep drop down to the gorge for a swim on what felt like a private beach. It’s a great place, nice bar/restaurant/seating area to relax in after your day out on the river it beautiful surroundings. Charming village of La Bastide du Virac on your doorstep too. If you want a laid back slice of camping heaven, this is the place… Thanks for a wonderful welcome and stay.

We had a short but lovely stay at Mille Etoiles in a truly magical location. The vibe is relaxed, the atmosphere calm, everybody being really nice. The kids made friends quickly and we had a fun time hiking down 20 mins to the river for a swim in the river.

The yurt was spacious and well equipped, the facilities clean and well maintained, the staff very friendly and helpful.

We had an absolutely delightful stay at Mille Etoiles. The campground is situated beautifully among trees with plenty of shade and sunny spots. Nadine was so helpful with any questions we had. We enjoyed the restaurant which has a nice selection of food and is easy and comfortable, particularly with kids. The option to order baguette and croissants for the mornings was so convenient. And the most wonderful of all was the river. The hike down is a steep 25-30 minute walk but it is so worth it! At the bottom you arrive in a little paradise of coves and rocks and beaches.

Our Safari Lodge was just perfect, spacious, comfortable, clean, well-appointed with everything we needed. We loved the comfort of cooking in our own kitchen and eating on the lovely porch. It truly felt like staying in a cosy cabin. One of the most comfortable stays we have had!
The shower door needs fixing. Everything else was just perfect.

The location of the campsite is excellent. It is really at the heart of all the adventure the region can offer. The safari tents are lovely, and the staff are super helpful and friendly.

We enjoyed the remote countryside and being able to put our donkey in the paddock! It was outside the busy season and very quiet which was great.

Excellent hard working hosts. Fresh croissants, Bread and coffee each morning and nice family menu for the evening if required. Safari lodge perfect for our needs. Our family members with children enjoyed camping on a pitch close by. Peaceful site and great base for exploring the region.

Clean tidy and suited our needs well as other family members stayed onsite on another pitch. They joined us for some family meals around the table on the lodge veranda in the evening.

- nearby river, walking distance - tasty and affordable food in restaurant - friendly and helpful staff - quite and friendly atmosphere - lots of shadow in the heat of summer - games for free for the kids We definitely want to visit this place again.

Yurt was comfortable and convenient, site fairly quiet and well-located in the natural park and a we could walk to the river down the steep gorge track. It's amazing to be able to eat at the campsite cafe and order fresh bakery items every day.
It was slightly annoying to have slippery plastic mattress and duvet covers. But appreciate this is helpful for keeping them clean. Also having to take soap and toilet paper every time we went to the bathrooms (none provided). And we didn't have enough comfortable chairs for everyone (you only have one sun lounger and one hammock for a family of 4).

Yurt has a mini kitchen hut with a cooking stove and fridge and box with all crockery and utensils. Perfect!
Plastic covers on duvet and mattress were slippery and duvet keeps getting bunched up. Recommend bringing your own blankets instead as a duvet isn't really needed in August anyway.

Un camping nature dans lequel nous nous rendons régulièrement depuis plusieurs années, petit changement cette année avec de nouveaux gérants ... Le site reste formidable cependant un certain nombre de sanitaires ont été condamnés ce qui est très regrettable car l'attente peut être longue à certaines heures. Plus de congélateur à disposition pour les pains de glace ce qui est gênant pour les campeurs . (les gérants proposent le congélateur à glace du restaurant mais ce dernier ne fait pas suffisamment de froid). Le restaurant proposait autrefois d'excellentes pizzas ce qui n'est plus le cas
Réouvrir les sanitaires et salles de bain. Laisser plus d'intimité aux clients qui ne sont pas venus camper au sein d'une colonie de vacances. Inutile donc de venir dire bonne nuit à chaque campeurs

Nous avons avons campé 6 ou 7 fois à des emplacements chaque fois différents et nous avons toujours été satisfaits or cette année nous étions sur un emplacement en dévers avec de nombreux cailloux. Pas très judicieux pour un emplacement familial

Nous sommes gérants de ce camping depuis seulement quelques semaines, soyez sur que, dès notre arrivée, nous avons fait le nécessaire pour engager les réparations et remettre en service les sanitaires .Nous comprenons néanmoins que cette situation ait pu être contraignante pendant votre séjour. Pour les pizzas , à chacun sa recette, elles sont bien préparées avec soin, Christophe apprécie d'ailleurs les nombreux retours positifs sur sa préparation. navrés qu'elles n'aient pas été à la hauteur de vos attentes. Nous respectons bien évidemment l'intimité de chacun, notre intention est simplement de veiller au bien être de nos campeurs et de les saluer par un Bonjour et un Bonsoir. Concernant votre emplacement, celui ci est un emplacement les plus apprécié , le site étant naturel et protégé il est effectivement possible d'y trouver quelques pierres , ce qui fait partie du charme et du caractère du lieu. Nous sommes heureux de lire malgré tout que vous appréciez toujours le site et la région. Nous prenons vos remarques en considération et continuerons à faire le maximum pour améliorer le séjour de nos campeurs . Nous vous souhaitons une bonne continuation.
