Beautifully laid out campsite with flowers and plants. The location is lovely with great views of the lake and countryside.
Far too much noise from other campers after 11.00 at night. Put us right off booking another night.

We had a great stay. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the facilities were clean. There are some beautiful walks close-by and the campsite is lovely and quiet.

Access to swim and canoe in the Loire River Good evening entertainment. Friendly staff Located in a quiet, peaceful place
Earlier shop opening for the breakfast bakery delivery. 7:30:am would be better fir those with a busy day ahead.

Clean but very basic.
Very small and cramped. Not well equipped, not even an electric kettle. Reliance on those leaving to clean for the next people.

The campsite has a wonderful location, right by the Loire with beautiful views all around. It's quiet at night too.
Please provide washing up liquid and a sponge to clean the dishes. Toilet paper would be welcome too. The carbaret evening was great but is it that difficult to provide a vegetarian alternative? I had to beg to get an omelette.

The accommodation was comfortable and clean. Plenty of storage space too.
A kettle would have been useful.

We missed wifi, the light in the toilet and shower went off, the touristique information was only in the French language . All other things were good.
More touristique information in other languages, wifi over the whole camping.

Camping d'Arpheuilles ligt prachtig aan de oevers van de Loire. Een rustige camping met schone en goede voorzieningen, mooie plekken en bovenal buitengewoon gastvrij en behulpzame eigenaren. Wij hebben een week op de camping gestaan. Perfect om onbezorgd tot rust te komen. De rust op de camping viel op, zonder dat er niets te doen is. Er zijn verschillende voorzieningen waaronder de mogelijkheid om te kanovaren, een zwembad, speeltuin voor kinderen en een bar. Allemaal netjes onderhouden. Daarnaast is het mogelijk om vanaf de camping wandeltocht(en) te maken, o.a. naar een nabijgelegen kasteel
De camping ligt qua tijd wat verder weg van steden en dropjes. De steden en dorpjes relatief nabij zijn klein en voor de echte cultuurliefhebber een beetje tegenvallend, als je van winkelen houdt zit je goed. De natuurliefhebber komt zit op deze camping ook goed.
Accommodation review
Wij verbleven een week in een safari Lodge tent met uitzicht op het meer (aanrader). De tent was voorzien van twee slaapcabines (een stapelbed en een tweepersoonsbed), een zitruimte en ingerichte keuken inclusief koelkast. Voor de tent, buiten voor de tent was onder de luifel ook nog zitgelegenheid in de schaduw. De tent had een fenomenaal uitzicht op de Loire, de achterliggende heuvels en opkomende en ondergaande zon.
Doordat de tent vrij staat, waardoor het fenomenale uitzicht op de Loire mogelijk is, is de schaduw beperkt tot achter de tent en aan de zijkant. Dat wordt gecompenseerd door de mogelijkheid om vanaf de plek de verkoeling van de Loire op te zoeken, de ligbedden met parasols in het zwembad of de beschutting bij de bar.
